Chauncey McGlathery: Musical Director, Conductor    cmclathery@voicesofmetrowest.com

Chauncey was born in Huntsville, Alabama and has a long history and deep passion for the value of music, founding his first singing group in high school, Brothers Together in Christ.

After earning degrees at Auburn University School of Engineering and Howard University School of Law, Chauncey practiced law in the District of Columbia and New York City before answering the call of God into full time ministry in 2001.

Chauncey is the Minister of Music at Bethel AME Church in Jamaica Plain and teaches music in the Boston Public School system. His unique facilitative leadership and teaching style was featured in two documentaries last year which debuted on WGBH-Boston, the International Documentary Challenge and the Roxbury Film Festival.

As conductor, he brings a resume of directing experiences for the Auburn University Gospel Choir, Howard University Christian Fellowship Choir,  Ebenezer Baptist Church Gospel Chorus  Junior Choir, Men's Chorus and the Peace Baptist Church Young People's Choir and Mass Choir in Washington , D.C.

Chauncey is the CEO and Founder of Boston Common Studios, a multimedia production company with studios in five east coast cities. He has a new book, I Dare You, which challenges his readers to take advantage of the opportunity we all have to live beyond our limitations.

We are thankful that Chauncey shares his energy, spirit, experiences and deep passion for music as our musical director and conductor.

 

Paul Surface: Founder, Artistic Director     psurface@voicesofmetrowest.com

Paul holds music degrees from Ithaca College and Nebraska University for musical studies in voice, keyboard and conducting. Paul has directed, performed and conducted choral, musical and opera performances in the United States and Germany. He currently sings with the Boston Pops Gospel Night and Boston Community Choir, plus is artistic director, conductor, singer, arranger, and keyboard player for the Pilgrim Band of Sherborn, MA.

Paul provides voice lessons and performance coaching in the MetroWest area. He enjoys music, golf, and helping others live a 'life of significance.'

Paul founded Voices of MetroWest to provide a meaningful choral singing opportunity for all those that wish to sing.
